Industrial degreaser / Fleet & field equipment

Cuts grease.
Not your equipment.

Oil, grease and road film come with the job. Caustic cleaning doesn’t have to.

GreaseCheck is a water-based, neutral-pH concentrate for trucks, service vehicles and industrial equipment. It removes oils, greases, hydrocarbons, soot, road film and production soils from metal, painted surfaces, aluminium, plastics, glass, stone and concrete.

LKA Industrial Solutions Inc.

Powerful cleaning.
Neutral pH.

Supplied from Cleveland, Ohio.
One concentrate to stock, order and mix on site.

GreaseCheck Concentrate

A water-based degreaser that combines solvency, detergency and chelation to tackle grease, oils, asphalt deposits and baked-on films. Dilute it with water to make Industrial, Heavy Duty or Multipurpose working solutions.

The same concentrate covers three levels of cleaning, reducing the number of ready-to-use products on the shelf.

Where neutral pH matters

Aluminium, anodising, clearcoat and polished stone can be vulnerable to aggressive alkalinity. GreaseCheck avoids that alkaline attack mechanism; material compatibility and contact time still matter.

Greases and thread compounds often contain lithium or calcium soaps. Chelation helps break down those metallic soaps, alongside the removal of oily contamination.

The business case / Permian Basin

What does a wash
really cost?

Illustrative operating scenario.
Not a reported customer result.

A field service fleet comes back with oil, grease, soot and road grime. Every extra cleaning pass uses crew time, water and wash-bay capacity.

GreaseCheck offers an alternative where aggressive alkalinity is undesirable, including around aluminium components. The operational question is straightforward: can the crew reach the same clean standard with fewer repeat steps?

Run a side-by-side trial. Record hands-on time, water use and the total time each vehicle is unavailable. Compare the cost of the complete job.

Mix for the task

One drum. Three dilutions.

Ratios are concentrate : water.
Fill with water first, then add concentrate.

On first mixing: 1 part concentrate + 3, 6 or 10 parts water. One US gallon of concentrate yields 4, 7 or 11 US gallons of working solution.

Why neutral pH

Three cleaning mechanisms.
Without caustic alkalinity.

GreaseCheck’s published market review places 14 of 16 compared products in the pH 11–14 range. GreaseCheck working solutions are pH 7.0–7.5.

From surface contamination to rinsing

01 Apply to the soil

02 Loosen and lift

03 Rinse away

Simplified process illustration, not a molecular model. The three cleaning mechanisms act together; follow the TDS for dilution, contact time and rinsing.

01

Solvency

A glycol ether penetrates and loosens oils, asphalt deposits and baked-on films.

02

Detergency

A neutralized anionic surfactant lifts contamination and emulsifies it into the water phase.

03

Chelation

A water-conditioning agent helps break down metallic soaps and maintain cleaning performance in hard water.

GreaseCheck and alkaline degreasers
Property GreaseCheck Typical alkaline cleaner
pH 7.0–7.5 at use dilution Commonly 11–14
Sensitive surfaces Avoids alkaline attack; follow compatibility guidance May etch aluminium, dull finishes or strip coatings
Flash point None, aqueous solution Depends on formulation
DOT shipping Not regulated Depends on classification
Rinse-water pH Near neutral before effects of removed soils May require pH adjustment
Foaming Low at working dilution Depends on formulation and equipment suitability

Operations

What changes on site.

Evaluate the complete process: mixing, application, rinsing, handling, storage and waste.

Machine application

Low foaming at use dilution supports pressure washers with downstream injection, auto-scrubbers and tunnel washes. Follow the equipment instructions and product TDS.

Transport & handling

Not DOT regulated. The product does not require dangerous-goods placarding on the basis of its shipping classification.

Concentrate economics

One gallon makes four to eleven gallons of working solution. Compared with shipping the equivalent ready-to-use volume, concentrate reduces product volume by 75% to about 91%, with potential packaging and freight savings.

Oil separation

In soak tanks and parts washers, released oils can float on standing, allowing skimming and extended reuse of the bath.

Rinse water

The cleaning solution is near neutral. Removed oils and other contamination still determine the treatment and disposal requirements of the spent wash water.

Storage

Store at 50–90 °F (10–32 °C). Protect from freezing and avoid prolonged storage above 100 °F (38 °C). Keep away from strong acids and strong oxidizers.

Application notes

Clean the surface.
Respect the material.

Neutral pH avoids aggressive alkalinity. It does not make every material compatible under every condition.

01

Check the surface

Test an inconspicuous area before first use. Prolonged contact or drying may affect polycarbonate, acrylic, ABS, paint less than a month old, varnished wood, gelcoat, bitumen, galvanizing, brass, copper, anodized layers, nitrile, EPDM and soft vinyl. Ask for the full materials compatibility sheet.

02

Apply the right solution

Use the recommended dilution and contact time. Keep the solution from drying on the surface.

03

Rinse and inspect

Follow the TDS. Check the result before repeating a cleaning step. Record what the job actually used.

Safety & compliance

Know the solution
you are handling.

Classification and protective equipment are product-specific. Read the SDS for the concentrate or working dilution in use.

Environmental profile

Measurable properties.

GreaseCheck does not claim “biodegradable” or “non-toxic”: the supporting biodegradability and aquatic-toxicity testing is not yet available.

VOC by concentration

1.6% in the concentrate; approximately 0.15–0.41% in working solutions. The source documentation compares these values with the 10% federal general-purpose-cleaner limit under 40 CFR Part 59, Subpart C.

Ingredients not included

No caustics, phosphates, alkylphenol or nonylphenol ethoxylates, chlorinated solvents, abrasives or isothiazolinone preservatives.

Less volume to ship

Dilution on site reduces the volume shipped for the same amount of working solution. Actual packaging and freight savings depend on the container and delivery.
